Hi guys! Jonas here. And this is SwJ
podcast number two. Problems in daily life My first question is: What’s the biggest problem you have in
your daily life? Daily life is our routine, our normal activities. Do you
have problems with traffic? Intense traffic? Does your city have many traffic
jams and you spend many hours in transport in your car, in the bus or is
your city okay about that? Well, thank God I don’t have this problem because I work
at home, but I know this is complicated for many many Brazilian people.
Especially for those who live in big cities. Sao Paulo is the biggest city in
our country and it’s famous for having gigantic traffic jams, gigantic traffic
problems. Cars drive very slowly especially around 7 o’clock in the
morning and around 6 and 7 o’clock in the evening. I have a car. I drive but I
normally don’t drive during the rush hour. I Drive when traffic is low. Do you have a car? Do you prefer to get around your city by car, by bus, taxi or any other kind of transportation?
Well, normally having a car is more comfortable but I still think it’s more
expensive. Cars are not cheap. You need to spend money on cars. Well, my biggest
problem in my daily life is time management. It’s about organizing my time I
am NOT a very organized person Are you a very organized person? Is time
management a problem for you? Well I have students who have lessons with me and
the times are kind of flexible. So, one month I will have one routine, another month I’ll need to adapt to another routine. What’s your biggest problem in your
daily life? Do you like the job you have? Do you have conflicts with your
co-workers? Co-workers are people that work with you If John works with Peter they
are co-workers. They work together. Do you have problems with your
co-workers try talking about it. Actually, I don’t have problems with my co-workers because I don’t have any, But when I was an employee in a school. Employee is a
person that works for a company or works for another person. When I was an
employee in a company, in a school I have some misunderstandings I had some
problems with some co-workers, especially because of misinterpretation.
Interpretation that is not right, that is not correct. This is very very
complicated in human relations. But I believe one of
the biggest problems everybody has in their lives is managing money, is
organizing finances at home. Do you prefer to pay your things in the
beginning of the month? In the middle of the month or at the end of the month? I
prefer to pay things in the beginning, but it’s not possible for me because at
the start of the month, I haven’t received any money yet. I receive my
money. I receive my salary after the 15th or after the 20th every month. So I need
to pay my bills at the end of the month. Bill is a paper in Brazil generally we
receive a barcode to pay for electricity, internet connection, water, your apartment, your house, so you receive many bills and of course paying the bills is very very
stressing. Do you feel stressed about that or isn’t money a problem for you?
For a minimum part of the Brazilian population money is not a problem, but
the huge majority of the population thinks that this is a very very
complicated thing to do. In our daily lives we normally feel stressed about
transport when traffic is very slow, about managing our time, about managing money, and also about human relations. What’s the worst thing for you? What’s
the most negative thing for you? You can leave a comment here talking
about your biggest problems in your normal day, in your daily life, alright?
I hope you have enjoyed it and see you on the next one. Bye.
