Pro-Vaccine vs Anti-Vaccine: Should Your Kids Get Vaccinated?

  1. The doctor telling his story bout his daughter, he's a very mature and caring man and he got choked up and I feel for him, he makes valid points and then there's Melissa…

  2. People jump to blame vaccines for anything wrong with a kid, but never connect the rising obesity levels with autism levels and bad diets during pregnancies to the same issues. Check kids who have parents that eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle. 1 in 1.000.000.000 have any reaction to vaccines.

  3. 8:20 “It’s hard to trust someone who sees your child for 10 minutes twice a year”

they went to Med school 8+ years

  4. Every time Melissa comes on I just stare at her bangs. They don’t match the color of her hair (they’re more reddish) They’re probably a clip or something. They don’t look right

  5. Okay yes your child had a seizure but they are apart of the very very small 1% that have affects like me I can't have a certain vaccine because it affects my family and DNA and so on

  6. I’ve never been vaccinated and I’ve never even had the flu. Hygiene has always been a priority so that I don’t spread anything, and strengthening my immune system in various ways has been my defense. Not saying everyone should do that, but I’d like to not be shamed for making this healthy decision.

  7. Ya but if vaccinated children do have diseases they most likely are carrying a strain they were vaccinated against and that can cause huge problems in schools Bc of the germs and even the workplace in the future which you wouldn’t be as vulnerable but your risks would still larger than a vaccinated person

  8. I don't understand all the "pro-vaccination" comments here making fun of the anti vaxers, most of their arguments are very logical and based on facts and concerns for their children, for example when the Dr. mentioned the 1 in a million, the others disagreed, and the pediatrician was intelligent and knowledgable enough to point out that 1 in a million might be true for extreme reactions, but a lot of damage is still happening, much of which might be long term / chronic disease. I propose that we need a solution that can put both sides to rest, we need healthy alternatives to vaccines OR vaccines that are healthy, meaning that they do not contain harmful substances such as human, pig, and monkey DNA, mercury, aluminum, and formaldehyde. to be honest, this is such a frustrating subject for me and I wish It would be as clear cut for me as you people seem to see it, I have an IQ of 130-140 and the complexity of this issue really is perplexing to me. I was working abroad a few years ago, and I personally got to know a man who was working as a diplomat in that country, his daughter received a vaccine and became paralyzed from it, I know we can say this is a very rare case, but tell that to this man, tell that to his daughter who was otherwise healthy before getting that shot. one thing for sure, we NEED an alternative going forward, an alternative that even medical Doctors would agree upon, an alternative that would make the current model of health care obsolete. may we all be guided to truth. Amen.

  9. “One in a million is not a number” sweet pea your telling this to a doctor.

And you probably read it on Facebook

  10. This is totally irrelevant but…

How does every person who appears on Jubilee's videos have extremely mind-blowing speaking skills!?

  11. “i dont like the assumption of children without vax are a danger” Um.. they just are..? because no vax, more likely to catch something, more likely to share something

  12. "I want us to be able to have relevant and educated conversations"
You're talking to an anti-vaxxer that did 2 minutes of Facebook browsing to get their misinformation.

  13. Do Americans get to have a chicken pox vaccine? Cus I had bad chicken pox for 2 weeks and I wish I could’ve got a chicken pox vaccine

  14. Math is math. You can't argue with it. If 1 in 3000 kids get seizures because of vaccine that is an excellent number. ANY medication can have side effects. ANY food can have side effects. Maybe you are allergic to milk or shrimp or nuts and you die from eating it. Vaccines aren't different from that. Life is about facing risks all the time.
Sorry, i can't be empathetic to people who put others at more risks than we should have cuz they are afraid of vaccine side effects. If your daughter had side effects from vaccines seek a doctor to find out WHAT component of that vaccine did that just like you would seek a doctor to test any other allergic reaction. Maybe not all vaccines gives her a reaction and she should be protected from those diseases. Or maybe they are all bad for her… in this case: yes go ahead and don't vaccinate her but don't go around saying vaccines are bad because they aren't.
I don't go around saying nuts are bad just because i am allergic to them. I know they are good for health, i just can't eat them myself.

  15. I’m an anti Vaxer because my kid has an auto immune disorder so she can’t get vaccines, so I think others shouldn’t either.
So um, your kid needs others to get vaccinated so you know, they don’t die?
This made me so mad oml

  16. I kNoW mY cHiLd BeTtEr

Let’s see what you’re doing when your child has a trauma, a life risking injury or a lethal sickness.

  17. I truly hope by majority of comments here that you're all 10 yrs old. Still scary but beats the alternative. SMH!
Peace out ✌ idiots. I'm done here. There's no helping people like you.

  18. My little brother had a bad reaction, we believe it was from the flu vaccine. We will continue to have vaccines no matter what. The protection helps so much, it is so rare to have a reaction to it. It was a random reaction, he is fine now, he is healthy, and he still wants to get his vaccines to not get sick.

  19. The Pediatric ICU doctor looked so sad that these parents don’t understand the kind of horror these preventable diseases cause. And when she said that pro-Vax people don’t have compassion it made me so mad, people go into the healthcare field because they care about people 🙄 believe me, I wouldn’t be pulling my hair out trying to get into nursing school if I didn’t care

  20. I don’t quite understand why it’s assumed a condition came from vaccines, I think they’re emotionally hurt by their child’s diagnosis or their own (understandably)and hurt people hurt other people in a way. They want something to rally against to blame for why this happened to their child and it’s hurting others in the process it’s an unfortunate cycle. It’s easier to say it came from a vaccine and unload their anger and frustrations onto that than just accept a lot of things in life aren’t in our contro.. but what is in our control is how we choose to deal with those things. Going backwards is doing a larger disservice to society as a whole than the things that were out of our control to begin with.

  21. When i was first vaccinated, i came down with a really bad illness it landed me in the hospital. The doctors told my mother that my white blood cell count was extremely high. The doctors eventually came to the conclusion that this was all caused by the vaccines i had received a week or so prior. I lived, obviously but 10 months later my brother was born and even after the traumatic experience my mother had with vaccines previously (with me) she still vaccinated my brother. Knowing that if she didn't we'd contract polio and die at the age of 7.

  22. “Is there too much hostility between the two sides?” … Watching this after the republican v democrat one made me think “Hell no!”

  23. I have never actually heard this in a argument with a real doctor. He doesn’t know my child like I know my child.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️💆‍♂️💆‍♂️💆‍♂️💆‍♂️

  24. Idk why Karen stepped forward on the statement I would do anything to keep my child safe as she clearly doesn't
FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING THAT IS HOLY VACCINATE YOUR GOSH DARN KID(S)

  25. Idk is it just me, or is it that if you don’t get your vaccines, then the school can kick you out, or give you a suspension, and you can’t come back unless you get those vaccines

  26. Hey I've seen kids who are ill because of not having vaccines but never because of them have a vaccination

  27. I really loved this video! It should have been longer!! I am currently 36 weeks pregnant, unvaccinated myself, but considering vaccinating myself and my child. I will say that some of the arguments presented here are like comparing apples to oranges. You have a lot of extreme cases represented here, which iant really a fair representation. When some individuals have specific and very emotional reasons for not immunizing, they should consider themselves justified in their decision, and continue to look for answers. In a way, those unfortunate cases are exactly why doctors keep working as hard as they do in supporting vaccines and herd immunity. There are plenty of people that cannot get immunized, and the vaccinated ones protect them. But the anti-vaxxers shouldn't necessarily assume that NO ONE should immunize. Their children might die in that case. And then those parents might be speaking for vaccines instead of against them. Individual cases and emotions cloud people's opinions and beliefs more than we realize.

  28. 1/3000 get seizures, yeah, but if the majority of people didn’t vaccinate then most people would get measles and 1/100 of those would get serious side effects. If you skip vaccines it’s kind of ok, but that would mean relying on everyone else getting vaccinated.

  29. I think my brain died listening to those two anti vaccine ladies. Yeah, yeah, your child had a seizure or two from a vaccine, but this guy over here saw a kid that had no arms or legs because they have terrible parents.

  30. I’ve seen this video pop up multiple times and I’ve avoided watching it because I knew I’d get mad😂 but no Melissa is the reason kids are probably gonna die young💀

  31. I’m pro vaccine but I don’t think getting a bad restroom from vaccines are extremely rare and I get that parents don’t wanna do it anymore since their child had several bad experience which is the only understandable point

  32. So about the woman who’s daughter was affected. In no way is anybody asking you to continue to vaccinate you’re child if the vaccines are hurting them. Like the doctor was saying herd immunity is there for this specific reason. To protect the people who aren’t able to be vaccinated.

  33. I don't care what anybody says, I am not getting any more vaccinations, last year in 2018, in September I had got in a reaction and it was very bad, I had a huge a memory loss after that and was very sickly, so after that no. It has only been within the last 2 months that my memory has gotten way better.

  34. Child: born with a non functioning kidney and there's a transplant ready
Apes:BuT wHaT aBoUt ThE kIdNeY sToNeS

Seriously though how much of a ligit neanderthal do you have to be to not believe in vaccines like the human race is just regressing

  35. An unvaccinated child is a danger to society, those unvaccinated kids should not be aloud in public or public schools they are endangering other children

  36. I'm totally pro-vaccine, but I empathise someway with the other side. In Brazil, vaccination is taken very seriously, which is fair considering that the biological threat would be really absurd otherwise. The anti-vaccines movement is kinda weak, even though, on the other hand, it is more bulshitful. Despite not having the best healthcare in the world, we have a great trend on vaccines, which I think is an example to the world, even though as I said, we kinda need them more than most of it. However, there is one problem here, the risks of reactions and ineffectiveness is not taken into account. Don't get me wrong, despite of these risks, it is definitely worth it to vaccinate, specially considering the population effect, not only the individual effect, which as an economist I think is important to account, however, the risks are just ignored. I know that vaccination public campaigns, for example, are not a great time to tell people that they are not 100% effective and safe, but they don't even tell you in the application time the cares you should take to make it work better, and if you ask for, they will just say that nothing wrong is going to happen. I once had a bad reaction- it is over and I have no sequels- but it was scary at the time. I didn't lose my trust on vaccines, because I already did not trust them 100%, but I was in favour of them and I am still, but it affected my trust on the Brazilian gov, health ministry, public healthcare, etc which are supposed to protect me and I should never fear them. The adverts now are trying to overcome the fear that some people have, than I think, if the people that have reactions, or know someone that had one, knew they could happen, like I did, they would be less scared of vaccinating again.

  37. I would rather have a child with autism then no child at all because I lost that child to a disease a vaccine couldn’t protected my child from

  38. Vaccines are risky. I've heard many stories on medicines causing more harm than anything else. Like the lady said parents know the children. Herbs is something doctors should consider and brought to the table.

  39. The saddest case is when a parent denied their newborn the vitamin k injection. Which is literally to prevent bleeding. And the baby actually died bcs of cerebral hemorrhage. Yeap. It’s not even a vaccine but they are pretty much so against any injections. And yet they call themselves parent? 😭💔

  40. Every parent should have the right to decide if they want to vaccinate their children or not. Vaccines are not safe

  41. just like to point out the first anti vaxx person got their beliefs from an idea, its never been scientifically proven, and I'm not trying to come for antivaxx people jus stating my beliefs

  42. Here we are in a 1st world country where we have braindead idiots opposing lifesavers whereas there are millions of people in 3rd world countries that would do anything to get their kids vaccinated.

    So sad

  43. Lady with the Perm hair, "My child has auto-immune disorder". You child is literally relying on herd health to keep from succumbing to a terrible death. No one is expecting your child to get vaccines if his or her immune system is compromised.

  44. Even though there are some side effects of vaccines, and no, anti vax kids don't just walk around with transmittable diseases. But anti vax kids can very easily pick up these diseases and transmit them to other kids. And that is the reason laws are most likely going to change in the near future, school, getting vaccines etc. In turn, vaccinated kids can get diseases, but have a much, much lower chance of transmitting a disease, paired with other vaxxed kids multiplies that. Watching these videos makes me want to scream WOULD YOUHAVE SEE YOUR KID HAVE THEIR LIMBS AMPUTATED OR GET THE FLU FOR A FEW DAYS!! Also, life isn't safe, walking outside every day has risk. Also, while you know your kid, doctors have spent years studying the human body and most likely know much more about your kids physical heath than a regular parent does.
