Ne-Yo’s on His Own Lovemaking Playlist

-My first question
is for you, Ne-Yo, ’cause I’m gonna be
just honest with you, okay? -Okay.
-You are number three on my lovemaking playlist. [ Cheers and applause ] I have…
-Okay. -…touched the booty
while listening to your voice. [ Laughter and applause ]
Okay? -That is not —
-So, now when I’m listening to your voice…
[ Laughter ] …I’m thinking about
two things. I’m thinking about said booty,
and I’m also thinking about, “I wonder if Ne-Yo’s
on his own lovemaking playlist.” [ Cheers ] And so I’ve always been
curious to know, you’ve made
so many amazing songs. Are you on your own
romantic playlist? -Yeah.
[ Laughter and applause ] -You are?!
-My goodness. -So you — -Ain’t nobody gonna love me
like me, damn it. [ Cheers and applause ] It’s not wrong. -I love —
I mean, what does it feel like making love to your own single? I mean, that’s a rap lyric
in itself. Someone’s already said it.
[ Laughter ] -No, normally it’s by request. I don’t —
I don’t go, “Hey, baby.” [ Audience “Ohs” ]
Normally — -Is that in the moment or a
discussion that happens before? [ Laughter ] -It’s happened both ways,
honestly. [ Laughter ] -You’re an icon. You are being changed
to my profile picture. [ Cheers and applause ] But it’s not just you,
because, Tony, my good friend, you’ve also kind of become
a little bit of a sex symbol in your own right.
You have. [ Cheers and applause ]
Especially — Yeah. Especially when you showed up
to the Golden Globes. I want to show your ‘fit
for a second. I mean…
[ Cheers and applause ] I mean, you are working this
right here. -Yeah.
Yeah, it’s — I’m convinced
it’s the white jacket. It’s the tux jacket. -I would like to say
it’s the eyes. It’s the hair.
It’s the beard. It’s you…
[ Cheers and applause ] …that makes the jacket work.
-Thank you. -So — So, are you, like,
officially a zaddy now? -Yeah.
[ Laughter ] That’s what — They wrote that
right after this. -Who’s “they”?
-Well, I don’t know. Some article. Some —
-Yeah, yeah. -Some best-dressed whatever.
-Mm-hmm. -And I did not know
what that meant. -You didn’t know what —
Do you know now? -No. Well — I — I —
I asked around. And they said, “Well, it’s
kind of a millennial thing.” So, I asked a millennial
what it meant. And they explained it, but they used other millennial
words that I didn’t know. [ Laughter ] -So, they used “zaddy”
in the definition, basically. -Yeah. So, I’m still
not quite clear. -It’s a play on “daddy,”
which is like when there’s an older gentleman
or someone that — you’re so chiseled and charming
and handsome, you’re a daddy. But then zaddy’s
just that extra “Mmm!”, that you put extra pizzazz.
-See what I mean? -Okay. Is that not correct?
That’s what a zaddy is, right? [ Cheers and applause ]
All right. I would say, both of you —
Let’s be real — I would say all three of us
are zaddy status. [ Cheers and applause ] Come on. Love starts at home,
y’all, love starts at home.
