I do 16 fast and 8 hour eat … so I do not eat until 2 pm everyday which was normal for me as a child but doctors said due to me not having a thyroid I need food all day for my blood sugar… that is a lie… I have never felt better fasting like that then I go to the doctors and they say omg that’s not good so I stopped… I am about to start back … the first 2 days is hard depending in the situation but after that you start to feel the benefits … vowels clear out better… mind is clearer .. more energy

This is very misleading – you need to eat only fresh fruits and mostly vegetables, beans, legumes, and nuts and seeds – stay away from meats fish and dairy and sugar, salt, processed foods and alchohol. Eat only bananas and dates for a sweet tooth. Eating properly along with intermettan fasting is for health and well-being for long term health.

I have been doing it for 8 months and I have given up sugar… As well as you really don't feel hungry so you change so much you start eating because you must not because you want to… It's so much healthier. I started with start eating at 9pm with a good breakfast and ending at 6pm then narrow the time as you feel you can but another huge good habit drink good clean water it's a great help… 💪👌😎

  11. Our church fasting is harder than most because every wed and friday you fast meat and fish, dairy and oil. So what do you eat, well if your really hungry and you just can't, have a glass of almond milk, any fruit juice but watch your sugar because sugar also makes you gain. watch all white stuff it makes you gain like salt too.

  19. way to spread misinformation Megyn. What you eat still matters and you can't just eat whatever you want. There's also not just 2 or 3 optoins. There's a BUNCH of versions. It still matters that they are reducing calories. In fact studies show that it's equivalent to a daily calorie restricted diet because when they intermittent fast they consume less calories. Works for some, not others, but overall its equivalent to a lower calorie diet. May improve insulin resistance but that necessarily hasn't equated to weight loss or been the silver bullet.

  20. I did this intermittent fasting in 1978 I ate every evening at 7 pm only. I lost 10 lbs in about three weeks. I didn't eat at any other time but had cups of tea. I didn't know about intermittent fasting I just did it. I will be doing it again. I have did this again in 2013 when I ate breakfast and no lunch but I had dinner. I lost 40 lbs in a few months.

  23. If I eat within an hour or even 3 hrs after waking, I eat all day .. EVERYTHING ! . If I wait and fast 5 hrs … I'll eat normal and not be hungry.

  28. I'm a 70 year old, sedentary (vegan) who also lost 52 pounds since 4 August 2018 doing the IF 16:8 plan. I eat everything .. carbs, fruit, veg, bread, potatoes between the hours of 10-6pm and drink (lemon) water all the rest of the time. It's EASY. I weigh myself every day and though the scale goes up on some days and down on others, I find that the average loss for the week is always in ounces (not pounds). It WORKS .. that's all I care about. 🌹

  30. I feel like this isn’t that difficult. If you have a semi normal schedule , as in you dont work midnights or have a weird on call schedule, this shouldn’t be that tough. You sleep most of the fasting period and can train your body to not need food tge second you wake up. Coffee is great for regulating blood sugar and making you feel full so a cup of black coffee when you wake up should help you make it until 8 am

  31. I live in the UK, I eat three times a day and try not to snack. However, I start with breakfast at 6 and I never eat after 6pm – so apparently I have been intermittent fasting all my life. However I am about to do a 21 day fast, just water, Himalayan pink salt and acv. Thoughts – why does the church push Lent and why is the first meal called BreakFAST – pretty obvious to me that its a normal cycle of human life.

  33. Hey guys I am Muslim we do fasting during Ramadan (I don't) we fast from 10-11 up to 12 hours for a month. And we end up gaining 10-15kg during that month. Sorry for if I'm rude am just honest.

In other word… The Eastern diet… Every Eastern civilization had a version of this diet .. be it Ramadan… Or Jainism…or regular Hinduism with their 2 meal a day concept (note that do waqt ki roti is a common phrase … Not teen ..I e 2 meals a day not three )…. West needs to reprove things we have already proved eons ago ..but it's k… trusting something from a 1000 yrs ago is tough .. You do you 🙂

  43. In the past Traditional Indians have been doing it for up to 5 times a week, depending on which our prayers and the vows we wish to take. Monday it's normally for Shiva, Tuesday it's for Hanuman and so on and so forth. It's the recent generations that have shied away from it. Generally despite all the spices and the oils in our diet, our parents and grandparents had no real health issues and lived forever. So it clearly works. Recently my daughter lost 10kg, in 3 months from intermittent fasting from 8pm till 12 in the day. Amazing results and at 47 years old, it is working for me. I look and feel 10 years younger and it's going to get better.

    Real food foods don’t require an ingredient list. Meats, real cheeses, fruits, vegetables, water, coffee and tea unsweetened, exercising and fasting!
    No matter what I’m doing, where I travel, the occasion or holiday my eating doesn’t change! I eat only the foods mentioned or I fast! No calorie counting! I eat until don’t feel like eating anymore! If the foods I eat aren’t available I continue to fast! I’ve fasted for as long as three days!
    I eat when I’m ready to eat! My breakfast is (Break Fast)! I don’t eat in the morning! Only black coffee and water!
    No bread, pastas, pastries, rices, or potatoes!
    I’ve not eaten any of these for over a year!

  48. I tried intermittent fasting but it’s not something That would transition into a life habit for me. Only fasting for whole days at a time is where I found success. With intermittent I’m constantly looking at the clock anticipating those feasting hours which in turn keeps you hungry. Digestion starts in the brain.

Sad I won't be able to I'm loosing weight by eating what I want and only eat 2-3 times a day and 1 snack depending also how heavy the food was it will be only 2 times a day but I used to weight 220 now I weight 207 💪 I go to the gym 3-4 times a week work out for 1 1/2 hour and I only use the lyptical I think that's how u call it lol

  51. Hey she lost 50 lbs and has loose drippy skin because she did it incorrectly. I lost 286 lbs and I have zero lose skin and I completely cured my diabetes but that's not a story because she's a young woman with pretty much all wrong infomation. To just start there is no restraints on when you start your fast or when you want to eat. Jist another person who found a little info on fasting. Why not have an expert on? Ya'll

  52. She must know someone on the show because she should of weighted till she lost all her fat. Then she wears tight cloths and looks fat again. Thick legs and all. Hey I'm only saying what everyone is thinking. She'll put that weight right back on if she stops IF. She should of done long term fasting for permanent weight loss.

  53. Eating breakfast became a necessity for farmers. They are constantly lifting pushing and pulling heavy things. They are in charge of 2000 lbs animals and acres of crops. Most people today dont do that so breakfast isn't always necessary.
