  1. Time to do some symbolic thinking! What if… YOU were Carl? Think about it. He originally ended at 4. We pressured him to keep going, but it just couldn’t compare to what was already done. So eventually who we were originally just left. We became a husk, a nagging force trying to keep this llama doing the things he does. It grows sickening, you know? To be demanded to give more, then have what you have be reduced to ash by more wanting. We lost who we were, and never could recover. Our original spirit died, and so did the franchise. Carl realized what happened, and tried to find us again. But we were already too far gone. So he decided to end it.

  2. So Carl technically killed a man in self defense of a home invader and we all just assumed he’s a sociopath because of this

  3. Considering the state of our inaction on climate change, seeing the world in the state it reaches by the end of this is reassuring.

  4. To the people who are like “the middle ones weren’t even that funny”
I kinda think that was the point, I could be completely wrong but I think a big theme here was that we are supposed to be Paul (not the mask the real Paul) in that we just keep expecting worse and after a while it becomes monotonous, even though we still acknowledge that the stuff Carl does is messed up it doesn’t exactly shock us much anymore…
Not meant to call people out at all! Just a thought! 😁

Also, y’all should watch YouTube Explained’s film theory on this, it’s fascinating!

  5. This all happened because overeager fans pushed the creators to continue the series when it was meant to end at episode 4.

  6. That’s the sound of forgiveness!
That’s the sound of people drowning Carl
That is what forgiveness sounds like, screaming then silence

What’s that? It’s hard to hear you over the sound of melting city

  7. This series has to be rewatched so many times. It is 10 years old and yet I see comments from a week ago with many likes and replies. I love this series and I hope it never does truly die

  9. Somebody should really write an SCP called something along the lines of “The Llama of the End” and have it based off Carl.

  10. Basically he halucinated his friend because he was going insane. And the mask was telling him bow his work wasn't done. The "work" the mask spoke of was actually the suicide. But Carl didn't realize that and probably didn't remember. But seeing his friend was dead, it brough him to finishing his work. Now everything in the world no longer lives.

Honsetly, this could also be seen as a gay llama that likes his friend so much that he killed himself because he can't live without Paul. And he was without Paul. So he deathed. A sad death. It made me cry the first and second times I watched it.

  11. 12. Every time I finish this series it leaves me with a strange taste in my brain, like sad but love for comedy and weird animated brilliance 😂❤️
