How to download and install Firefox on Mac


Hello, and welcome
to How to Install Mozilla Firefox all Mac. If you are using Assistive
Technology to access this material, and are
having difficulties, please contact Kent Cowan,
GTCC’s Assistive Technology Specialist. OK. Let’s get started. Open up your Safari web browser. In the address bar,
type in Firefox.com. This will bring you to
Firefox download page. Click the green Firefox
Free Download button. This will start
downloading Firefox. Click the Show Downloads button
in the top right-hand corner. This was show the
status of your download. Depending on the speed of
your internet connection, the download may
take a few moments. Once the download
is complete, double click the Firefox.dmg file. If you don’t see this file,
check in your Downloads folder. The Firefox installer
window will come up. Drag the Firefox icon into
the Applications folder. Double click the
Applications folder, drag the Firefox icon
down to your dock. This will make Firefox
easier for you to access. Click the Firefox icon
that is in your dock. A warning message may pop up. Click Open. Firefox import
wizard will come up. Click Continue. Next click your homepage
preference, and click Continue. Once the import process
is complete, click Done. Firefox will open up, and now
you can begin browsing the web. If you need any
additional assistance, you can come to the Open AT Lab
on the Jamestown Campus, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. And Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In addition to
