Hi! First of all, the fact that you are watching
this video is really awesome. Thank you. I’m Nic Steenhout and I’ve been involved in web
accessibility one way or another for over 20 years now. Over that time, I’ve had the
chance to meet a lot of really interesting people that are also doing web accessibility.
I’ve been wanting to know more about them, what interests them, what brought them to
the field of accessibility, that kind of thing. I’ve also been wanting to talk to people with
disabilities that encounter real barriers on the internet and try to figure out what
it is that frustrates them, what interests them, what makes life easy. So, I decided
to have a series of conversations with all kinds of people. And I decided to make a podcast
about it. I’m hosting the podcast on Patreon to give people a chance to support the project
if they find value in it. It doesn’t mean that you have to pay to listen to the podcast.
They are always going to be free for everyone to just listen. But if you find value in the
project, I appreciate value back. Value for value. How does Patreon work? It’s quite simple,
really. If you find value in my project, you can pledge support. You can pledge as little
or as much you want. You get charged the moment you pledge support and that support renews
itself every month. You can cancel at any time so there’s no long term obligations but
obviously I would appreciate long term support. So listen to a few of the podcasts, see what
value you find in it and hopefully you get to support me. Thank you.
